What will happen on the day my smart meter is installed?
We have partnered with AES to install our smart meters for our customers, they have many years experience in the field and a great service record.
AES will contact you when their specialist engineer is on their way to your property. They will be wearing a uniform and carrying an ID badge.
Here are a few things to keep in mind before your installation:
- Someone 18 or over needs to be at home during the whole smart meter installation
- Make sure the area around your meter(s) is kept clear and accessible
- If your meter(s) is in a communal area, please make sure the engineer can gain access easily
- Please be aware that there will be a short interruption to your power supply, which we will aim to limit to approximately 30 minutes
- The work should take around 90 minutes to complete
What if I need to change my appointment?
- If no one is available to be at the property on the day, or if circumstances change, to change or cancel your appointment, please contact AES on 0208 363 8848 or email them at hello@aes-smart.co.uk giving at least 24 hours notice
- AES Opening hours are 8am to 8pm Monday – Friday and 8am to 5pm on Saturday - CHECK
