Our approach makes us different. We want to be the best possible energy company in the UK, and we’re willing to work to get there.
With every choice we make, we ask ourselves: how will this positively impact people? And how will this positively impact the environment? And we’ll try and make the right choice, even if it’s more difficult.
Here’s an example. People in poverty often pay more for their energy (it’s part of the poverty premium, which you can read more about here). They are more expensive customers, and energy suppliers pass that cost directly on to them. This is obviously unfair, and we simply won’t contribute to a system that is so plainly, totally unjust.
So we offer weekly payments that work out costing the same as monthly. And we’re the first UK energy supplier to do that. Because our green energy is for everyone - regardless of their income, circumstances, or when they happen to get paid.
We did have to negotiate a deal with the company that processes our payments. But it wasn’t so hard. In fact, they were happy to help. All we needed was a little will and imagination.
That’s what we mean when we talk about our approach.
